Marlo M. Smith, MD is a board certified general pediatrician. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Chemistry from Vanderbilt University where she graduated with magna cum laude honors. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Smith completed her Internship and Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center - Parkland and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her clinical areas of interest include newborn care, asthma, and adolescent medicine. She served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Tulane University Medical Center and has practiced in private practice, in community health, and as a hospitalist for many years. Dr. Smith is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the South Carolina Medical Association.
