Dr. Brian Fowler is an Internal Medicine physician with more than two decades of experience providing comprehensive care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at MUSC, where he built a strong foundation in evidence-based, patient-centered care. Dr. Brian Fowler began his career in Spartanburg, South Carolina, practicing both inpatient and outpatient internal medicine before transitioning into hospital medicine. He served as a Hospitalist at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for over a decade, caring for high-acuity patients and taking on progressive leadership roles. During this time, Dr. Brian Fowler was appointed Director of the Hospitalist Program, served as Chief of Staff for the hospital system, and chaired the Medical Executive Committee, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence, collaboration, and physician leadership. After many years in hospital-based medicine, Dr. Brian Fowler returned to outpatient practice, where he enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients and focusing on preventive care and chronic disease management. His clinical interests include hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, COPD, and renal disease, with a strong emphasis on lifestyle counseling, early screening, and wellness-focused care. Dr. Brian Fowler values one-on-one time with patients and prioritizes shared decision-making to help individuals achieve sustainable, long-term health. He is excited to rejoin the MUSC Health community and looks forward to serving patients at MUSC Health Primary Care, located in the Kiawah Partners Pavilion, caring for the Kiawah, Seabrook, Johns Island, and surrounding communities.
