Dr. Brittney Rodriguez is an Internal Medicine physician who completed her residency training at Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida, where she was honored as Senior Resident of the Year for excellence in clinical care, leadership, and patient advocacy. She also simultaneously completed residency training in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center at the University of Arizona. Dr. Rodriguez obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alabama (Honors College) where she was also actively involved in mentorship and research. Dr. Rodriguez earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC. Her scholarly work includes publications and national presentations in gastroenterology, psychology, and Alzheimer’s disease. She is fluent in Spanish and has participated in international medical missions, reflecting her dedication to expanding access to care. Her clinical interests include integrative medicine, preventive health, and improving patient care delivery through quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Rodriguez believes in the importance of early screening practices and the importance of incorporating lifestyle medicine. She prioritizes the importance of shared decision making with her patients. Establishing patient trust is an essential component in the way Dr. Rodriguez approaches patient care. Dr. Rodriguez is looking forward to serving the Johns Island community and providing care at the MUSC Health Kiawah Partners Pavilion.
